Welcome
I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT #105230) who earned a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University and Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University. I have extensive training in a variety of settings including intensive outpatient treatment, residential facilities, county correctional facilities, and several school settings.
I take an integrative approach which tailors’ psychotherapy with the clients’ needs. My specialties include working with children, teens, parents dealing with dual diagnosis, PTSD and trauma, couples and sex and/or intimacy issues.
Training:
Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), provided clients with remote EMDR sessions to help reduce symptoms of PTSD.
Couple's Institute trained which integrated attachment, differentiation and neuroscience when working with couples.
Institute for Relational Intimacy trained with the focus on sex intimacy therapy.
I also specialize in psychological evaluations for immigration cases. If you have a need for evaluations, I’d welcome hearing from you. With my approach I tailor the assessment to the particular needs of each case.
Cooperative Parenting and Divorce, trained, provide co-parenting sessions for couples who seek practical skills necessary to foster two household family whether court mandated or voluntary.
Seeking Safety trained, provide a compassionate, structured approach necessary to increase reducing and/or maintaining sobriety. However if your early into your recovery or active, outpatient and/or inpatient treatment is recommended.
Social and emotional skills trained, for families, children, teens to help provide tools, practical skills to help reduce challenging behaviors.
Experience with a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, medical professionals and other psychotherapists which allows for community referrals.
I draw from my experience; take a client-centered approach; use evidence-based practices which is grounded in research to foster change; use a systemic approach which explores families and those who are engaged in the relationship to foster healing and personal goal setting.
I work with elements from a strength-based perspective, commitment of individual empowerment which is collaborative and non-judgmental to cultivate internal growth.
